Documentation localization status
English is the canonical language for public documentation. Chinese companions retain their established filenames, which may be unsuffixed or use .zh-CN.md. English and Chinese pages are published at distinct URLs, and each paired page links directly to its counterpart so readers can share a locale-specific URL.
The MkDocs sidebar follows the current page language. English pages show the English navigation; Chinese companions and untranslated Chinese originals show the Chinese navigation. This changes navigation only: existing URLs are preserved, and site search can still return pages in either language. Chinese originals without a checked English counterpart remain available at their current URLs.
Completed entry pages
The backtest backend boundary and portfolio sizing and strategy-risk evidence now have English canonical pages paired with Chinese companions.
The dated execution-fee reference now has a linked Chinese companion. The page documents caller-supplied fee periods and the current continuous-ledger integration; it does not claim to provide market defaults or broker-invoice replication.
The former style-factor weighting guide described a slice excluded from the public release over unresolved source licensing. Its public API entries and current-use claims have been removed. The original URL now carries a bilingual retirement notice, with historical detail retained in Git history.
The repository README, documentation index, platform overview, installation guide, first-backtest tutorial, results guide, backtest result interpretation, glossary, language policy, common entry points, execution simulation guide, point-in-time research data guide, sequenced execution guide, incumbent requalification guide, incumbent requalification OOS bridge, promotion-evidence execution sidecar, multi-sleeve portfolio construction guide, next-close diagnostic replay, differential backtesting, portfolio optimization backends, public API reference, allocation reference, position output contract, backtest output contract, data boundary, backtest configuration reference, backtest specification, canonical backtest bundle, execution-cost assumptions, cost breakdown, raw-share corporate-action ledger, factor return and risk attribution, turnover definitions, market benchmark comparisons, testing and quality checks guide, orchestration overview, control-plane API, evaluation orchestration, run artifacts, owner integration, target export, output orchestration, run summary sections, evidence and protocol CLI, quality gates, runtime helpers, orchestration reference index, orchestration configuration reference, orchestration CLI-helper reference, model selection guide, model landscape, factor catalog, factor risk model, signal drift, factor-expression DSL, alpha research outputs, signal-artifact contract, overfitting controls, AFML methods, research backends, matched-model and downside-risk tools, namespace migration, research template design, Alpha testing and quality checks, execution-domain overview, microstructure overview, TickNet data boundary, microstructure development guide, and optional Rust kernel guide have English canonical pages and linked Chinese references. The E2 promotion receipt and operations index now also have English canonical pages linked to their Chinese counterparts. Other orchestration and alpha/research guides remain Chinese originals pending translation. MkDocs uses English as its default interface language.
The E2 promotion receipt, operations index, cashflow shadow-publication contract, and historical public publication audit now have English canonical pages linked to their Chinese counterparts. The cashflow page was checked against the adapter and its tests; the publication-audit page is explicitly labeled as a historical snapshot.
The portfolio namespace migration and DailyWatch20 ownership notes now have English canonical pages. The package name is checked against the root distribution configuration, and the ownership boundary is checked against the portfolio module and its test.
The orchestration development guide now has an English canonical page and linked Chinese companion. It marks the clean-root export audit as unreproducible until the manifest, exporter, and tests are reconciled with the current repository layout.
The governance and migration section now has locale-specific English and Chinese pages for the accounting/execution roadmap, the former research-workspace boundary, and the quant-market-research ownership boundary. The English roadmap was checked against the current backend, ledger, execution, capacity, metric, and reproducibility implementations and their tests. Historical migration archives remain source material, not a translation queue.
The research-protocol guide now has an English canonical and linked Chinese companion. Its CLI examples use the registered strategy-pipeline commands, and its protocol thresholds are checked against the current policy implementation. The feature-research guide also has an English canonical and linked Chinese companion. It now documents only reusable platform behavior, removes project-specific feature examples, and records that feature-evidence helpers are not registered as a CLI command. The matched-model and downside-risk guide now has an English canonical and linked Chinese reference, checked against its estimator, risk-target, and forecast-gate implementations and tests. Its page-specific build check confirms that the rendered English and Chinese sidebars contain only their selected locale. The Alpha research index now has an English canonical page and linked Chinese companion; the locale-specific sidebar shows the matching page in each language. The grid-support reference now has an English canonical and linked Chinese companion, verified against its module and tests. The minute-factor guide now has an English canonical and linked Chinese reference, checked against both implementations and the friend-factor SQL tests. Contextual research features, fundamental-state forecasting, and formation-date style-factor cross-sections now also have English canonical pages and linked Chinese references, checked against their public implementations and tests.
The runtime-kernel contract, risk-model kernel reference, and September 2026 portfolio-execution profiling record now each have an English canonical page and a linked Chinese companion. The profiling record preserves its measured baseline and no-Rust decision; it does not present the old benchmark as a current performance claim. Both language routes use locale-specific sidebar labels and are covered by rendered-page tests.
Remaining work
The 2026-10-06 audit of the active MkDocs navigation found 191 distinct page routes: 97 registered English routes and 94 Chinese routes. Every Chinese route links to a registered English canonical page. With the runtime-kernel, risk-model kernel, and execution-profiling pairs added, the active navigation has no known translation gaps. A regression test checks that every Chinese navigation route has a linked English canonical.
Remaining curation is outside the active navigation. Translate or reorganize those pages only when they support a current decision, entry point, or reusable reference. Older material under migration/legacy-materials/ remains excluded from translation. Prioritize any future additions by reader impact:
- Configuration, CLI, and data-contract references.
- Backtest specifications, execution and cost assumptions, output contracts, and operational runbooks.
- Alpha and research-concept pages that are part of the public product surface.
- Other historical migration records only when they are still used as current reference material.
Do not create an English page by translating stale prose alone. Verify each page against current code, configuration, CLI help, tests, and artifacts. Keep identifiers and machine-readable contracts unchanged. Update this tracker as paired pages are added, and ensure the Chinese companion remains consistent with the English source.
